Bodrum family session

How does the holiday in Bodrum look like? Well look at the images and get the picture of the holiday mood in Bodrum 🙂 This family came all the way from Netherlands and Roxane got in touch with me to create memories of their sweet family vacation in Turkey.

They were staying in the hotel that is based in a lovely bay of Akyarlar. Bodrum is famous for its winds and that week was not an exception. We had to schedule the session in the morning because its least windy that time of the day. Of course there was still wind but it didn’t stop us having fun 🙂

Twins on the way :: Bodrum Maternity Photography

If you follow my blog, you should know that I love shooting baby bumps 🙂 And here’s to a special edition of twins, that already arrived to this world! Its a boy and girl <3 Couldn’t be any more special than to give a birth to a twin couple 🙂 Congratulation to Sinem who carry them for the last 37 weeks and Enis who was carrying for mother to be! Welcome Mira and Aras! Grow to be strong, healthy, smart, loving and happy human beings!

Bodrum Maternity Photographer :: Oxana Maternity :: It’s a girl

Being one of the Bodrum maternity photographer, gives me a pleasure to capture those special moments that couples are sharing in one of the best places in Turkey! With beautiful beaches and landscape and great weather all year round.

It has been a while since I posted anything. Been busy with my little one and visiting parents in law. And also Oxana gave me the permission to show her baby belly to all of you :). So here I’m doing it and still remembering that windy afternoon (you wont notice that in pictures, only from the sea has huge waves :)). It’s always like that, I schedule the photo shoot date, showing up on a shoot and its crazy windy, which is very normal for Bodrum. It’s always windy here 🙂 But seeing this wind and imagining picture with client hair up in the air is not the best image 🙂 Fortunately wind wasn’t that bad, it’s just my wild imagination 🙂 And I have a chance to shoot my second favorite subject (wedding is the first, of course :)) again, maternity session! It makes my heart sing when I see baby belly. Pregnant woman is something amazing. They shine from inside out.

Now that I’m writing this post, Oxana’s baby belly got bigger and it’s left very little until we see little angel. Really looking forward to see that baby girl in person. Might be a little later, cause they live in Stockholm. But we’ll wait with Mila (my daughter) to meet our new girlfriend.

Ortakent is one of those beaches in Bodrum that provide a nice back round for pictures. Also winter time is dead quite there, so it was perfect timing for a session. This has been a second time that I took pictures of this lovely couple in exactly same place 🙂 and hopefully not the last.

Bodrum Engagement Session on a beach :: J + G

James got in touch with me last February, with the idea to do a surprise proposal and an engagement session on a beach 🙂 Isn’t that romantic? Guys taking notes? During those months we kept emailing back and forward regarding flowers and dates. Finally we decided on a date and when they arrived to Turgutreis for their holiday, mother nature wasn’t very friendly. It was supposed to be very windy on the day we planned to do a photo shoot. Especially Turgutreis is veryyy windy. So I checked the weather forecast and the best time to shoot outside was 6am 🙂 That’s what we did, we met early in the morning to spend few hours on a empty beach. To be honest it was the best decisions. I know it’s hard to wake up, but trust me, it is worth it. See it for yourself 🙂

James and Grace were so cute 🙂 We walked from their hotel along the beach towards Turgutreis center with stops to snap an image. I would like to congratulate this sweet couple and I wish them to have a wedding of their dreams!

Turkey Travel Photography | Holiday in Kas

Sea + beach + friends + sun + good mood = HOLIDAY

Travel photography has become one of those subject I love shooting. And its not that I shoot all day long or something. It’s literally taking 1-2h per day. So I’m not missing all the holiday fun 🙂

I would not say that I was super tired, but this was much needed for my boyfriend 🙂 I am pretty much on holidays all the time, as I don’t feel like I’m working when I shoot. I am there, where I want to be and I do what I love! It’s pretty much like a holiday. Even editing on a computer is a pleasure. To go through all the images again its so exciting! Or even better, sharing them with you!

Vacation, was very relaxing! Mostly on a beach, just being lazy and being spoiled by the waiters 🙂 OK, I will be honest, I stayed on a beach, because we were living in the tent 🙂 And it’s not the most spacious place on earth. So I preferred the beach to a tent 🙂 It’s not that I’m complaining, I actually loved it. And I would do camping again. But maybe not in Bodrum, as there might be snakes and scorpions!

Lets get back to holiday mood! It was the best time since long years. As before I started photography full time, I was working on yachts. And summer on yacht, means no time off. And this summer my boy is with me. So it could not be any better, than this. We recharged our batteries, swam a lot, suntan under the umbrella 🙂 It was not possible to stay in that heat. It was a bit warmer than I expected. The tent was like sauna 🙂 we were getting up quite early! For my taste, the beach was way better than Bodrum. The beach we stayed at, was rocky. But the beach we visited the next day, was very exotic, with yellow clean sand and big blue waves.
