World’s Capital of Perfume | Grasse

March 29, 2014 ·

Had a quick , but lovely afternoon visting world’s capital of perfume – Grasse. Situated just 20km away inland of Cannes. Surrounded with a lot of green area, its a wonderful location for a nice getaway. This time, we scrolled the narrow and empty streets of the old town. I have been to Grasse a while ago, so it was nice to be back to refresh the memory of this cute town. Grasse is also very famous for its perfume factories.

Try smelling it through my images 🙂

Luxury & Sunny Cannes

February 22, 2014 ·

I used to live in Cannes a while ago. It is a famous vacation destination, for its warm Mediterranean  temperature, shopping and beaches. Besides that, all year round there are all kind of festivals going on, like all sorts of music festivals and of course known “Cannes Film Festival”. If you are a resident of Cannes, you have a chance to see all these new movies for free. How cool is that 🙂  Summer time, there is a firework festival, that last all summer. All countries can participate in that festival. So normally, on certain dates, there is firework show in the water, each time representing different country. I believe, it’s some kind of competition too. If I’m here this coming summer, will keep you updated with some shots 🙂

Below, you can see elder people playing Petanque. It’s a form of boules where the goal is to throw hollow balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally “piglet”) or jack, while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground. The game is normally played on hard dirt or gravel, but can also be played on grass, sand or other surfaces. So, I’ve got three balls 🙂 someone broke our car back window with those balls in the bag and left it there 🙂 So it’s kind of a win 🙂 Only, I need to learn how to play 🙂

When I look at the images, I realise, that this part of France is all looking medieval 🙂 And I love this look! It a pleasure for my camera and myself to go out and snap some images of these amazing places. And every time you go out, you can get completely different looks of the city. Because you will be looking for something, that you haven’t seen.

I hope you enjoy the images 🙂

Happy weekend

February 21, 2014 ·

I dont know if you noticed, but I do not have a lot of pictures of myself 🙂  So this time, I felt like making some pictures of me. Or even better, I should learn to do the ‘selfie’ 🙂

Im coming back with another set of images from Antibes. It’s amazing, this town doesn’t stop surprising me. It’s like the whole place is a fine art gallery!

I have posted before a set of images about Discovering Antibes.
